Round and warm, with eyes always watching, Mumlo was the guardian of lost and lonely things. Whenever a wandering spirit or a frightened little monster needed comfort, Mumlo would scoop them up into its invisible embrace, humming soft melodies that wrapped around them like a woolen blanket.

But Mumlo was never alone. Nestled inside its mouth, peering out with wide, knowing eyes, was its tiny companion—Tib. Tib was a storyteller, a creature of words and wonder, whose voice wove magic as effortlessly as Mumlo’s lullabies. Together, they were the heart and soul of their home, offering both safety and stories to those who needed them most.

One cold evening, a shivering shadow crept into Mumlo’s den. It was a small, frightened wisp of a monster, lost and alone. Mumlo, with its endless warmth, pulled the tiny being close, rocking gently as it hummed. But it was Tib who truly saved the little one.

“Did you know,” Tib began, “that inside every heart, there are smaller hearts, like nesting dolls? Some are brave, some are scared, but they all fit together to make something whole.”

The lost creature sniffled, tilting its head.

“And when one heart feels lonely,” Tib continued, “the others gather close and whisper stories until it feels full again.”
